Session Breakdown

2:00pm-2:45pm: Discussion on Recommendations

2:45pm-3:00pm: Wellness Break

3:00pm-3:30pm: Summary Presentation

3:30pm-4:00pm: Open Discussion/Reflections

Participants are encouraged to engage in plenary discussions on themes and potential recommendations that came to the forefront in the breakout and report-back sessions. A summary presentation on the day will be shared, and a forum will be open for discussions and reflections from Summit participants, including considerations for future Summit planning. The themes and recommendations will be taken forward by the Coordination Team and integrated into a larger Report of Proceedings which will be circulated for Justice Summit participant comments in the weeks following the Summit.

The Justice Summit maintains the principles of non-partisanship, non-attribution, and respect for organizational and statutory independence. We are grateful that members of the judiciary, including the heads of our three courts, are again joining the Justice Summit.  We appreciate their participation.  We trust, consistent with previous Justice Summits, that everyone will respect that because of the courts’ independent role, the judges and judicial staff are participating as observers and will not be commenting on, endorsing or suggesting policy choices, recommendations or other substantive matters.
