Your Criminal Record
If you have been convicted of a crime and have not received a discharge, you will have a criminal record. Criminal records are not made public, but police, prosecutors, customs officers and other officials can see them.
Criminal Record
Criminal records may include information about:
- outstanding charges;
- criminal charges that were removed;
- conditions of a community sentence;
- pardons; and
- releases from custody.
Court Records
Court Records are public and not the same as your criminal record. To learn more, please visit: The Court Records - Accused.
Youth Records
The Youth Criminal Justice Act protects the privacy of young people (12 to 17) charged with criminal offences by ensuring information related to charges is not given out to the general public. For more information, please visit: Youth Records.
