Jury Panels

Jury panels are made up of a group of potential jurors (panelists) who may be called to serve in upcoming trials.

The first step is selection of potential jurors for a jury. You will receive a jury summons stating where and when you go for the selection process. The group of potential jurors are called the jury panel. Not all members of the jury panel will become jurors.

Jury panels may be asked to participate in the selection process for up to two months.

Once you have been a juror on a trial, you are exempt from serving for two years. Panelists are not subject to the same exemption as jurors. After attending court for jury selection, panelist names that were not selected may still be randomly selected for a future jury panel.
